Information Technology Specialist

Position Summary
A growing organization is seeking an experienced IT professional to oversee the daily operation of its technology environment. This position supports business users across office and field locations while maintaining reliable infrastructure, secure networks, business applications, and company hardware.
Core Responsibilities
  • Manage Windows-based server infrastructure, virtualization platforms, directory services, and cloud collaboration systems.
  • Install, configure, and maintain network equipment, including switches, firewalls, wireless access points, and remote connectivity solutions.
  • Deliver technical support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and software used by internal teams.
  • Provision user accounts, configure new devices, manage permissions, and support employee onboarding and offboarding.
  • Perform routine maintenance, operating system upgrades, security patching, backup verification, and system monitoring.
  • Support business-critical applications used for construction operations, project collaboration, document management, and property management.
  • Prepare, deploy, and maintain technology equipment for office locations and temporary project offices.
  • Maintain accurate records of IT assets, software licenses, infrastructure documentation, and technical procedures.
  • Coordinate internet installations, telecommunications services, and vendor support when required.
  • Respond to infrastructure or connectivity issues at the regional office and field locations.
Required Experience
  • At least five years of experience supporting enterprise IT systems and infrastructure.
  • Hands-on knowledge of Microsoft server technologies, Active Directory, virtualization platforms, enterprise networking, and cloud productivity suites.
  • Experience administering VPNs, firewalls, wireless networks, and endpoint devices.
  • Ability to troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues independently.
  • Experience supporting users across multiple business locations.
  • Strong organizational, documentation, and communication skills.
  • Valid driver's license with the ability to travel locally as business needs require.
Preferred Background
  • Previous experience in construction, architecture, engineering, or commercial real estate.
  • Familiarity with applications such as Procore, Autodesk products, Yardi, BIM collaboration platforms, or equivalent enterprise software.
  • Professional certifications in Microsoft, VMware, Cisco, CompTIA, or related technologies are advantageous.
Work Environment
This is an on-site position based in San Jose, California. The role includes regular travel to nearby offices and project locations to install, maintain, and support technology systems. Evening or weekend maintenance may occasionally be required.
